Peace Caravan Calls for End to Drug War

CUSLAR is is playing a key role in the“Caravan for Peace with Justice and Dignity,” which is a month-long bus touracross the U.S. that will end in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 12. It calls for an International Day of Action for Peace in Mexico.

The Caravan for Peace is calling for an end to the drug war, a halt to the illegal smuggling of weapons across the border to Mexico, the immediate suspension of U.S. assistance to Mexico’s armed forces, an end to the militarization of the border and the criminalization of immigrants and the adoption of policies that protect the dignity of every human being.
