CUSLAR is offering two type of Spanish Classes: A set of classes for Beginner AND Intermediate/Advanced Adults; A set of classes for families to learn Spanish with children age 3 – 12.

ABOUT CUSLAR SPANISH FOR ADULTS: Spanish Elements I & III
Our classes are personalized, interactive and taught by experienced instructors who are native speakers. Learn Spanish in a small-group setting with a curriculum tailored to fit each group’s learning needs and goals.

Spanish Elements, for beginners & advanced beginners
For students who wish to begin learning Spanish and for those who are returning to formal study after a few years, working toward an intermediate level. No prior knowledge assumed. Ten weeks, 20 classes, 50 minutes each.
Early registration: $312.50 by October 31, 2024.
Course fee: $332 by the first day of class.
Meeting times: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, NOV. 5 – DEC. 20
7:30-8:20 pm Eastern time.

Spanish III: Intermediate/Advanced Conversation
Spanish speakers will develop expressive capacity in conversational Spanish through discussion of texts and film, as well as through presentations and by leading group discussion. Targeted grammar and vocabulary review will supplement conversation. Varied and dynamic exercises as well as small- and large-group conversation. Class meets once a week for nine weeks, 90 minutes each.
Early registration: $243.50 by October 31, 2024.
Course fee: $263.50 by the first day of class.
Meeting times: MON, NOV. 6 – DEC. 18.

Instructor: Brisa Núñez García
Brisa Núñez García received her B.A. in applied linguistics at the Universidad Mayor de San Simon in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She also holds an M.A. in Spanish from the University of New Mexico and an M.Sc. in Hispanic studies from Georgetown University. She completed her Ph.D. in Spanish literature and cultural studies at Georgetown University. Nunez Garcia’s area of expertise is Latin America 20th – 21st century, Southern Cone.
