La organización no gubernamental dominicana Sociedad Comunitaria y el Comité de Relaciones de Estados Unidos y América Latina (CUSLAR, siglas en inglés) firmaron convenio de colaboración con la finalidad de promover el desarrollo de contenidos y metodologías para el trabajo pedagógico en las áreas de la salud, el arte, la cultura, estudios de género y masculinidad e historia latinoamericana y caribeña.

ITHACA, NY- This fall’s “food justice” theme in the Finger Lakes region continues October 12-17 when local groups host Ronaldo Lec Ajcot, Director of the Mesoamerican Permaculture Institute of Guatemala. Lec will lead conversations in Ithaca, Elmira and Dryden on food sovereignty and the reclaiming of indigenous agricultural practices.

Two young leaders from South Africa's Shack Dwellers' Movement will lead discussions on housing and human rights and screen the award-winning documentary Dear Mandela at a series of events October 1-3 in Ithaca.
CUSLAR, is is playing a key role in the“Caravan for Peace with Justice and Dignity,” which is a month-long bus touracross the U.S. that will end in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 12. It calls for an International Day of Action for Peace in Mexico.
The Caravan for Peace is calling for an end to the drug war, a halt to the illegal smuggling of weapons across the border to Mexico, the immediate suspension of U.S. assistance to Mexico’s armed forces, an end to the militarization of the border and the criminalization of immigrants and the adoption of policies that protect the dignity of every human being.
